Charm vs. Chivalry: Which One Will Work Best

When you want to start dating with women, you’re probably going to read quite a few articles and websites that tell you how to attract them. A lot of this is probably going to include confidence to talk to her and charm to attract her. What you may not realize is that there is quite a big difference between charm and chivalry, and that difference could make or break your chances with a woman. You might not know which type of behavior is appropriate or inappropriate, but that’s why we are here to help. There are a few things you should know about charm versus chivalry, and which one you should use, if either. Different situations mean you need to behave in different ways, and it’s not always easy to know what to do. Here’s what you need to know:

The Benefits of Charm

Charm is always a helpful trait to have, but it’s not that big of a deal if you didn’t pop out of the womb already charming the pants off of ladies. You can learn how to be charming. It just takes a certain amount of charisma and knowing the right things to say. Being charm is beneficial because it allows you to get women to let their guard down around you. There’s a reason why it’s been said that you can charm the pants off of a woman. Being able to charm a woman means that you can flirt with her and make her laugh and fluster her all at the same time. Charm is a great thing to have because it shows her that you’re interested and doesn’t demean her at all, which chivalry can sometimes do.

The Disadvantages of Chivalry

Being a nice guy sounds great in theory, but chivalry doesn’t always work out how you would want it to. So what if you’re the guy who stands and holds the door open for all the women in the bar? They’re not going to look twice at you. Not only does chivalry not get a woman’s attention, it can also upset them in the long run. If she thinks you’re being too chivalrous you could upset her because she thinks you’re being sexist. We know your intentions are probably good, but this is not the method you should use when you’re trying to hook up.

Finding a Good Balance

You can be chivalrous and still be charming, of course. You can hold the door for a woman and still charm the pants off of her if you have enough charisma. Finding a good balance will help you hook up with as many women as possible, so it’s definitely something we recommend doing. Don’t be too polite or nice to her, but don’t be too charming so that all your chivalry falls by the wayside. Just act like a charismatic individual and be sure to open the door for her or pull her chair out for her every now and then, and you should be set.
